I was hoping someone would bring up the jacket at some point. Is this going to be yet another wasted month or has he finally finished the jackets?

It’s ridiculous to have all of our complete payments for months and we can’t get a clear answer in when these jackets will ship out. Multiply this by five other projects and it’s time for me to get out of the hobby.

Delays I can live with if progress pics are provided for a clear picture of where things are at.

I never did get an answer to my previous question as to how long it takes to make one jacket from beginning to end. If we all knew that we could work out how long it should take to make all the jackets.

They probably don't make jackets one at a time, likely cut all the pieces, sew them etc....that would be more effective use of time than making one complete jacket then starting on the next I would think

Yep, exactly this. You can't calculate stuff like this in a linear fashion. In my own projects, for example... let's say I use a 3D printed part that then requires painting, additinal fabrication, etc... let's say a watch....

I have all the 3D prints of the main watch piece(s). I sand all parts. I prime all parts. I paint all parts. I seal all parts. I assemble all parts (let's say I assemble two bands to the watch casing). I add all decals (watch faces, for example) to all parts. Then finally I add the crystal to all watches. Now all watches are completed. No way to determine, in a linear fashion, how long that will take.

Hope this gives a little insight into how some of us customs folks work!

We got a few days left so I assume we will see something or get news otherwise we will be waiting until next month I like to think even though they said May was the deadline we might have gotten a pushed another month.

The point is we don't know if this particular artist works that way. He might make one jacket at a time, indeed this is exactly what he must have done for the two prototypes, or do it in stages. We don't know. None of what was posted previously explains the lack of update pictures on a project that should be ready to ship however.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm waiting to have more concrete progress first before update everyone here.
So basically the tailor said his working hard to complete all the jackets, all the parts is now done just waiting for him to assemble it which takes 5 days.
He said that he will start shipping the jacket to me on 15th of June.

Yeah I was right it was going to be somewhere around June. This isn't a problem quality work like this would take time to finish especially because I imagine real leather is a B to stitch vs fabric or pleather material.

Appreciate the update!

I don't mind the 15th of June in the slightest Jagzz, I doubt anyone else is really upset by the setbacks either. Those photo's are what people really want to see I think, in my opinion anyway. Just that something is happening, progress is being made. Reassurance, I think that's all we really need. Thanks for the pics and updates. Hopefully any and all of the changes have been made and it is indeed an accurate jacket......for that price ;)

Yes understand, but please also be patient on the progress, it's not something easy to do, and trust me the tailor doing is hardest to complete this as soon as possible, again patience comes a long way on this custom works. Again I don't want to rush the tailor and make a half ass work.. so again if everyone can bit more patience on this, I'll make sure we get the best 1/6 Indi jacket available out there.

I just want a really nice weathered genuine leather jacket that looks great. Anything more is icing on the cake (screen accurate). So how ever much time is needed to make that a reality I'm all for waiting. I definitely DO NOT want a rushed piece due to others being impatient. That's not what I'm paying for.
