I love that project book! It adds a whole lot of fun to the project!

Thanks Jon. It was fun to put that book together and it was so cool for me personally to get the work in progress pics from Bleau and Robbie. I thought it was very nice of them to stop what they were doing and make time for the photos. Very cool guys and very talented.

So who is ready for Olive Oyl and Sweet Pea? I'm working on the sculpts now. Any other accessories you would like to see included with them?

It will probably just be an unpainted kit with clothing but I can organize a full set too. I am making her anyway for my collection so I don't really need to start an interest thread. Just curious if you guys had any creative ideas I may not be thinking of. I will create a proto so you can see what it all looks like on display painted.

One thing that came to mind even though it may be crazy... is the ship pipe that she gets stuck inside of at the end of the movie haha.

That is pretty funny. Seriously, you would just need the pipe and the head sculpt right? Maybe that and then a big forearm coming out of the water. That would be a cool paper weight. :)

Hana yeah it would just need a head and the upper outfit. It would be pretty comical.... Screen grab coming soon haha

I like the idea of it being a kit means for the price geewhizz would charge for a simple outfit you could get half the price from another seamstress.

How about an open can of spinach I know it's small..... I like the arm idea haha!

It is really an oddball idea, but yet at the same time I feel like it would be an awesome display piece lol.

Love this guy! For now he is hanging out with a fellow cartoon icon until Olive and Sweet Pee arrive!

That Mickey Mouse looks great. Who made that one?

It is one of my favorites! It is a very rare Medicom piece based on the 80s / 90s park mascot costume. Only 300 of them were made for a Taiwan Toy Fair. I hunted for a long time and one popped up on ebay for around the original retail cost. A few of them pop up here and there, but it is well worth looking for. The proper name for it is "Clot X How2Work Mickey". I will keep my eyes open if you end up looking for one.

It seemed to make sense for a temporary shelf pairing with Popeye haha. A week later and I am still in awe of how amazing Popeye turned out!

Awesome and yeah it is a good pairing for now. I may look for one myself. My wife is a big Disney fan so she would love that Mickey. If you see one, yeah drop me a PM.

Thanks

Nice review Joe! I was the same way very impressed by the packaging on this piece. I still can't stop looking at this guy when I walk into the collection room. This is one of those pieces that demands attention on the shelf. Happy to have this unique tribute to Robin! Now bring on Sweet pea:)

Thanks man and I agree with what you said 100%. Sweet pea would be an awesome piece to compliment this figure. I would love a Bluto too!!

It is a stand out piece! People have been instantly recognized it on the shelf too. It's an amazing tribute.
