True dat! His outfit is so simple that 'real' boots will really stand out. I remember how much one of my figures improved with just the 'real' Newline German boots... these, with buckles and all, will just be outrageous.

Getting CLOSER to completion...there were a few details that I wasnt happy with and here is a picture of the progress so far.

I have one more revision to them and with hope, they will be done.

I managed to get the "A" stitching made on the straps and am trying to figure out what to do on the "a" logo in the middle of the boot. I want to have a die cut done and layer the fabric, but we will see if I can make it happen. It is currently embroidered...

So far the toe fabric has been the main issue. Finding it in scale and having a product that is workable. Currently I layerd a mesh over the toe fabric to simulate the look. BIGGEST HURDLE...On the pic I photoshopped the toe color darker and the color of the"a"logo darker just for viewing sakes. I also added the studs for viewing...to get the feel of the final product.

Suggestions?

They're looking GREAT, Chad! My only suggestion as before (which I know you're already taking into consideration) is to make sure there is enough room for the pants to be tucked in It might just be the pic, but they are looking a little tight around the leg. That is my ONLY suggestion. I know that with the additional revisions you have planned for the boots, they will look PERFECT :clap

EDIT: The laces can be tucked behind the front flap, right?

Shaping up nicely so far! Thanks for posting the pic, we've been hungrily waiting so it's great to see in-progress shots.

From the front I have no comments that you haven't already adressed. I'd love to see a side view of the boot to get a better feel of the whole thing. But all in all it's looking better than I was hoping.

Looking good so far. The only comments I have are make sure they have enough room to tuck the pants in and that they are the right length up the shin. We dont want them to short or tall for that matter. Other than that hell yeah glad to see these are coming along! :rock

Looking outstanding!! Really like them. If it helps any, when I was thinking of making my own boots I planned on using some mesh from a model car kit for the toe part, the kit was 1:24 and the mesh is for the grills so you can imagine, it's pretty small.
