Not really my best paintwork, but I needed to see how Grant would look.

I really like the look with glasses on so I'm glad I was able to get the glasses to work. Now I really need to get the hat version done since I think that would be a nice option to switch out the head with.

Looks great, Vash! You said you "made" those glasses?

Where is everyone getting the spade and pouch from?

Building it is likely the best way.

I figured id have to make them. I haven't seen any gardening figures haha.

Thanks guys!
As far as the glasses, they were an altered $9 pair of glasses I found on e-bay. Basically I chopped off the ear pieces and epoxied metal wire. I then airbrushed the black tint and then painted thinner gold lines for the frame.

As for the spade and pouch, I have materials to make these so I may be able to offer them if folks can't make their own.

I just realized that the photos made him look like David Caruso or Conan O'brien with that weird orange hair :lol
Here are new photos that show further progress on the paint:

I took down a bit of the height since it was a bit taller than it should. I think I'm pretty happy with the shape, now I just need to tighten it up a bit more and then texture.

That does look great! Excellent work!

Hey Wor-Gar, any news from your friend on the shirt?

Not much unfortunately, I basically email him every Sunday evening for an update and so far have gotten the same response: still looking for the right material.

I have a feeling he's busy with something else, he usually gets right on it. He did say it would take him a couple weeks to make the shirt because of his work schedule... I didn't think he meant a couple weeks just to find the material. He's been very reliable in the past so all I can do is wait.

Lines up pretty damn well.

Maybe the front brim could be bent downward a bit more. But with the hat sitting so forward on the head you'll block the eyes. Would be great to get that hat seated just a little farther back and show a bit more forehead.

UPDATE: Funny you asked today, because he just got back to me with a picture and you in particular will be happy to know that I believe it is the same material that you posted awhile ago, the Chambray. Just like the below.
That's great to hear! Looking forward to what he can do.

OCD kicked in and I had to rework the face sculpt. It's going good so far and I'm liking it better.
I'll be shortening the brim a little bit around the perimeter of the hat so I can tilt the front down more without covering too much of the face.
Looking forward to seeing pics of the shirt Wor-Gar!

In this picture, and some others I've looked at, the back area of the hat looks to form more of a right angle at the top than the tapered look it has now.

This is just my opinion, but none of us are going to be displaying him with his back to us. I know we all want accuracy, but it's the back of a hat. :lol I'm just happy we're getting a Grant and he's putting in this much effort.
