I think so. The space below the straps at the sides.
Ah ok that's what I thought I went ahead and tried it. And it doesn't really allow it to sit well. The length and the placement of the side strap is actually pulling the holster down by force. I tried to fold the front like how Indy sometimes has it but it's to much material to achieve that look. Also the pockets aren't necessarily a problem as they are soft just like the jacket but it does still hinder the holster and belt. I also tried the famous drape over the holster and it also doesn't work sadly due to the overall length and where the pockets are. If the jacket length was shorten like how it looks folded in, and the pockets raised a bit. I think the use of the material would make a huge difference then what we've had before because the leather is finally very soft and thin it would drape very well and mimick how the real jacket moves and drapes on the body.

That's a bummer.

I didn't really want to cover the holster up and was hoping like the real jacket it might be able to fold over the holster but it looks like that's not possible.

As to discussing the length....Yes, it's all done now and no further changes can be made, that's fine, we all accept that but that doesn't mean we can't have a healthy civilised debate. We're all here because we love Indy and love to discuss him.

As for the Iris jacket being wrong in the back, I couldn't care less if the back panel is pink ! If I can't see it when displayed it doesn't bother me. Things you see from the front (like length) that's my priority ;)

I do want to stress that although my jacket can't do those things it isn't revised so I wanted to ask Jagzz if the Tailor doesn't have a belt on hand if he can tuck the shirt in on the revised version and place the belt as the holster belt and take a photo so we have an idea what it could look like.

It's also a matter of scale. Leather isn't going to behave the same way scaled down compared to how it works 1:1. It just isn't going to fall the same way. Gunny Highway said it best, "Improvise. Adapt. Overcome". Make it work and get it as close as you can to the real thing (but don't forget, Harrison Ford isn't 12 inches tall either so yeah...) 😉

I think that's the compromise when it comes to having clothing made in 1/6th getting the actual measurements of the real screen used outfits will never look well when sized in scale. I think you just have to have it done exactly seen in film so the measurements will never be accurate which isn't a bad thing as long as it can look and be displayed as seen in film.

Of course. I was just curious what the limitations were as long as Luis was going all out with posing. Truthfully, I'm surprised it is as flexible as it looks to be. And happy about that.

Again, miracles can happen with good futzing. I have seen them. I am a believer.

Absolutely if your going to display him with the jacket open like many will futzing it helps a lot. And also it's best not to treat it with water and then heat as stated before it will brittle the leather and it will lose the softness. But it can't be denied that certain looks are unachievable due to the length, like the zipped up Raven Bar or the jacket draping over the holster perfectly. So in the end it's just personal preference on how you'll display your figure.

Isn't it always like that though? I have some shirts that I can't roll the sleeves up for Cairo look without it looking bulky. I've got Kato pants that want to tweak in an odd place if I bend at the waist -- I have to really use water treatment and shaping to get the pants the way I want.

As was said, material is never going to give you every option at 1/6th nor replicate every aspect of 1/1.

This shot right here. That looks great. It’s funny. I feel like the way you folded the jacket is accurate to the bar scene.
when you wear a jacket, and zip it up, it hugs the body at the bottom, and the front hangs over.

Thanks. Lol I think if when we discussed the length at the beginning had we went with that shorter length we would tell if it would have worked better or not especially with the leather we used and then if we felt during production it was to short then we could have had it lengthen.

That does look really good!

Thanks for all the photos, Luis! Would love to see more from people who have their jackets as well.

I won't have the sculpt I'm planning on using with this jacket until a little later (off to the painter) so I'll probably be testing this out with my Jnix sculpt when it arrives.

Hi Guys,

So the length personally I think we already discuss and agreed on it from the first discussion. I don't think revising the length right now would be ideal because it will change the whole jacket that already done prepping, and it will take more time again to revise and there will be another delay.

First the batch 1 jacket felt a bit baggy or big because there's some leather issue for that batch, that's why the quality is varied between the batch 1 buyers.

If you see the final revised jacket, the jacket looks much more tighter and fitter.. that's what we aimed in terms of leather quality for the the next batch we ship, and I think you can do water treatment if you want to zip it and get that bar scene looks.

But overall our target is to proceed with the original length that we agreed.

Hopefully we can move on from this length discussion and bring this jacket home to you guys as soon as possible.

Thanks
