Re: Dr. Alan Grant Headsculpt- WIP Added

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I was trying my hand on a couple of other sculptures. Also my two sisters are on summer break from college and I'm being a good older brother and spending my days off with them. I work full time as a heavy equipment operator for the State and I do volunteer work on the weekends, so my free time for my hobbies is limited.

I'm pretty much done with what I'll call version 1 of Alan Grant. I may or may not tweak the sculpt when I do the version with the hat, but I'll get to that once this one is molded and cast, which should be before the end of this month.

All my sculptures so far in 1/6 were not commissioned, but characters that have been suggested to me (by Mudblood for example ;)) that I was in the mood to do and also interested in having in my collection. I haven't been taking any commissions yet since I'm still honing my skills in this scale and I'm having fun just doing characters that I'm fond of.

Anywho, here's where Alan stands at the moment:

Beautiful. More refined than Malcolm, I see the improvement. Great intensity too, to face off a Raptor of course.

I'm holding out for the V2 hat version, as that's my preference for a finished figure... but this is awesome work. :clap

Awesome work on the sculpt. Your best yet. Are you with Local 3?

Thanks Wor-Gar and dwing!
This new hobby has been a fun challenge each and every time. The only problem is that I'm running out of room. I have 5 detolf cases full of figures and I'm struggling to find room for further customs. I'm trying to convince my wife to allow me to put a couple of more cases in the room ;).

Wow. This sculpt looks great. I really want it but I think I want to see a painted version first before I buy for sure.

Here's Malcolm painted by Rahmier84. Vash does some very clean and sharp sculpting, guys. Grant will NOT disappoint!

It needs futzing, but this has become one of my favorite figures.

Awesome figure man. Where did you get the mini Jurassic Park brochure? Print it out yourself?

The Grant head sculpt looks great. I'd be happy with a unpainted hatted head sculpt, please!

PS: A Laura Dern Head would be amazing in the future!

Bringing this back from page 4... hope the energy is still here. I think I've closed in on all my Ian Malcolm parts and am getting close on the Alan Grant parts. Everything except for this bloody denim work shirt which is killing me. I might have to reach out to see if I can get one made.

Where's Mudblood with some good updates and pictures of his stuff? He on vacation? :)

Yea im having trouble ginding a denim shirt. I found one but has shoulder seam lines that arch around. What boots are you going for @Wor-Gar?
