Love it! Hair looks much better too! :clap

Maybe the nose is a bit bulbous is all I really see... but I imagine you see this already. Brows lines coming up from the nose also seem to slant toward the right side of his head.

Awesome set there. Looking great.

I love Grant and Malcolm together because they just couldn't look any different from one another, it's great. The key reason I want these two and no one else.

Re: Dr. Alan Grant Headsculpt- WIP Added

I do see the nose thing W-G pointed out. It looks like he has a bit of a "butt" nose too. Just a minor nitpick on an overall great sculpt. It probably won't even be noticeable when it's on the shelf and painted up.

I think I'll do some light weathering to Grant and Owen. Probably some pants leg mud and a diluted black paint mix to look wet. Part of me wants to go all out Grant, full on dried mud, cuts, etc. It'd be the Dr. Alan Grant- Battle Damaged Version. :lol

Re: Dr. Alan Grant Headsculpt- WIP Added

Is there an ETA on when this sculpt will be complete? And I think a head sculpt with attached hat would suit me fine

Re: Dr. Alan Grant Headsculpt- WIP Added

There's no ETA but it shouldn't be too long in any case. This isn't one of those "take a year to release" type things, no worries.
Malcolm probably look 1-2 months for sculpting, casting, and shipping, if that. I can't remember.

Re: Dr. Alan Grant Headsculpt- WIP Added

Since the last pic, I've made some major changes to the sculpt. I wasn't seeing Sam Niell at certain angles, so I reworked the facial structure.
Once I smooth it out and add texture again, I can prime it a second time to blend everything together.
And like Mudblood mentioned, this project will be finished within a year ;)
I'm actually shooting for it to be finished before the end of this month.

Awesome cant wait to see what you did with the rework. Time to start looking for clothes

Wow, it you thought that didn't look like him, I can't wait to see the improved version.

Re: Dr. Alan Grant Headsculpt- WIP Added

Major? This will be interesting.

The problem with trying to show major structural changes on a sculpt is that it is barely noticeable in pictures, but here's a pic before priming:

The whole left side (right in the picture) was reworked as well as pulling back both sides of the cheek creases.

Still a little more work to do, but I need to set a stopping point soon or else I'll keep futzing with it until it gets messed up.

That looks amazing!

Re: Dr. Alan Grant Headsculpt- WIP Added

I think I see the improvement, very hard to tell in pictures like you say.

One thing that catches my eye now is the eyes. Do they look a little small to anyone? I know Grant squints a lot, but on the sculpt the bottom lids are so rounded that it doesn't look squinted, instead it looks like small eyes. To look squinted, that bottom lid should be longer and straighter across, yes? There is some heavy shadow between nose and eyes on each side so maybe a brighter picture would help.

Here's so ref with big eyes on Grant...
