I’ve got no skin in the game whatsoever and have only been following since I have been putting together my own Indy within the last 6 or so months and have enjoyed folks pics in this thread. But man I’m sorry to see what you got, dude especially considering the price plus having to ship it back (I imagine on your own dime at that). And it looks like virtually no weathering, not even “light” weathering. Again, my thoughts mean nothing since I have no money in this, just sad to see the end product on yours for such an expensive item.

I keep coming back to this thread. It's like the 1/6 hobbyist equivalent of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, so much drama. You hate to love to watch it.

The thing that gets me is that this jacket was $600 because it was supposed to be hand-crafted by an expert tailor, one person was going to use their expert knowledge and take their time to make each jacket perfect. So it at least made sense, why it was so expensive, and why it was going to take so long.

But it turns out, that wasn't the case at all. It was being tailored by a team of people, just like every other outfit run. So, why was it so expensive, and why did it take so long? And even if one expert tailor was overseeing it all, to ensure it was done properly, why was this run riddled with production errors? Where did the price premium come from? It couldn't be just from the material. Leather isn't that expensive.

I guess if you're happy with the end product, then all's well that ends well, but man ... it's like going to a Michelin-star restaurant and having the best meal of your life, but then you find out they just plated a $30 steak from the pub down the street. Don't you feel like you got fleeced?

The dishonesty and opaqueness/obfuscation that plagues this hobby is really discouraging.

COULD.NOT.HAVE.SAID.IT.BETTER.MYSELF !!

it's good to finally see people come out and support Luis because I have been alone in calling this BS out since Dane and Luis (and others I think)
had to pay to ship their jacket back the FIRST time !!

Why on Earth should Luis have to pay to ship this back? Again ? He was paying for a professionally made jacket, did he receive that ? Is that Luis's fault ?

We all paid a premium for a tiny jacket. Not because of its size but because of the alleged quality being sold to us and the professionalism of the tailor.

It's been by a very long way the absolute worst custom run I've ever been on and I have dealt with a LOT of custom artists in my time in this hobby.
It's been missed deadline after deadline, promise after promise and lie after lie.

So much for the delay being because the tailor was personally seeing that every jacket was perfect.

That turned out to be the latest in the string of false truths.

Anyone who goes back for more of this has rocks in their head sorry to say.

If anyone from the last batch have an issue with the jacket, please PM me.
I will find a solution for this.

Thanks

I will hold the last batch shipping and check the jacket again for these issues raise.
If anyone from the previous batch have anymore complaints, please pm me.

Romeo's & Luis have significant issues, are the remaining jackets that were sent out satisfactory?

- greatlakes6
- ringoyau
- raymondF:
- takeshi
- finaldemon28

And Romeo, you bought 3 sets, were they all with problems or just the one ?

Mine does not have the pocket issues. It is curved up on the sides where it connects to the back, more on one side than the other. It is quite large across the chest. The underneath portion of the collar is not leather. Does seem to be a little thicker material than the first one I received. Absolutely no weathering on the jacket, looks pristine like bought new from the store.

I would be interested to know the width of the jackets when zipped, from the people who received theirs early on. Would like to compare.

I tried to zip mine up to measure for you but I literally couldn't get it done up :p

I did take these measurements for you though

oh and mine came with zero weathering too, I had to do it all myself.

The body is MMS 261.

Leathers are seems harder than previous one which I received.

Collar and chest measurements are serious issues for me.

About stitch wrinkles of back pannels... Two jackets of mine gets same issue.

I'll try to put weights to make extend, though...
Will I make it through on it...?:(

I measured both length from front to side stitches, it's looks same.

Thank you.

If you look at my photo's, my jacket front panels are around 52-53mm,yours seems to be similar or even smaller

What about the length of those pieces. I know Luis was a good 6mm shorter than mine !!!!

Thanks for posting the pictures with the sizes. Mine is for a Banner body, hoping the larger body will take up the extra space so the jacket is not bulky.

I have both the JX Toys S01 and a Banner body, it fits the S01 better but I still believe that there's too much width in the front panel. I have said that from the start though.

What is the difference between the S01 body and the Banner body?
I haven't done any measurements between the two but the Banner seems to be a smaller, thinner, narrower body. Larger clothes fit better on a S01 than Banner. That said, if clothes are made well, professionally like Yunsil does, I have no problems switching jackets, shirts or pants between the 2. This is the 1st time I've come across these issues
