MGS: Solid Snake [sdabbs] - CLOSED

Seriously can't wait to get this in hand. I have almost everything ready. Just need boots for liquid and a SOCOM. I really hope MGS2 Snake sees the light of day.

its a weird thing when youre willing to spend more on doll clothes than a ps4, and thats just the clothes. not counting the sculpts of everything, the paints, body, accessories, and hands. ive spent more on this custom than the 2 computers i had to replace on my motorcycle and you know what?, i dont care, hahahaha. when i tell the people at work what i have into a doll they think im totally a superdork. Yeah man l know what you mean. I have a hard time justifying this kind of cash for a gun but for a MGS figure it was a no Brainer.

Yeah, but you don't want to volunteer information that people can use to talk behind your back. Whenever anyone asks me how much I spend on this hobby, I always shrug it off. "I've got lots of rewards points", "not much at all, I bought it with a few comics". No way I'm telling them I spent several hundred bucks on a doll (custom or retail).

Maybe you're cool with with it, but I dunno man. Life's hard enough already... you don't want to make it harder for yourself.

Outside of these two MGS customs and the Terminator: TSCC one that Ryan and I have planned with Sean, I don't think I'll be doing any more. I could've bought my PS4 already if it weren't for payments and the Hot Toys figs that I have on pre-order :lol.

Understandable. If Frank puts together a MGS2 Snake I could honestly leave this hobby forever having a Snake from every game. Of course if HT or someone made Raiden or Solidus or maybe some others I would come back for them but honestly I don't think I will be buying much other than customs any more.

The weirdest thing is the disconnect I feel between 1/6 prices and real clothes prices. Last year I got Kato's Indy set and didn't bat an eye-lash - I was ecstatic to get it. Then I went to the store and felt awful for having to spend 70 bucks on two pairs of jeans. I hold these little coats that are worth hundreds of dollars and it doesn't even hit me. Weird hobby when you think about it.

Quick update:

The new caster has the molds and will be making the new Snake heads to replace the ones that can't be used.

As it's a new caster, we can do more 3 mag pouch sets but you'll have to holla quickly. I'll put a deadline for the end of the week because otherwise it'll hold the heads shipping to me as they'll ship the heads and pouches together.

Not sure on price yet as need to find out the casting costs but maybe $15 for a set of 3 pouches, but I'll have to confirm price when they get back to me.

Sign me up for the pouches as well Frank!

I don't know if Geewhiz wants that info out there, but it surely wasn't cheap. It's more than $200, I'll say that much.

thanks, I have asked Geewhiz for a quote, I wont mentioned the amount. Just wanted an idea of the amount you guys paid, wether it was cheaper for a group buy.
It is worth however, the vest is spot on.

It's actually a good thing you did speak up, because both of your sets were wrong as they didn't have the piece on the back which enables you to thread the belt through it and attach it to the figure. I had to give you my second set
